Remember that Kaiju movie that didn't make much at the box office but was still totally cool. Guillermo Del Toro writer and director of PACIFIC RIM has revealed that he is very interested in making PACIFIC RIM 2 and at the Austin Television Festival, he revealed new informantion about the script of the second movie which he has been working on with THE INCREDIBLE HULK writer Zak Penn.
Legendary Pictures has not officially accepted the bid to produce the movie which has been stated by del toro. He also said that he is co-writing the script with Hieroglyph writer Travis Beacham.
Del toro's quote:
I’m working very, very hard with Zak Penn. We’ve been working for a few months now in secret. We found a way to twist it around. Travis Beacham was involved in the storyline and now I’m writing with Zak because Travis has become a TV mogul.
To many of the fans disappointment, Del toro stated that the sequel will not be involving Kaijus and will be something new and refreshing.
Del toro's quote:
Some people were wondering if we were going to do the prequel. I was never interested in doing that first wave of invasion. I’m going for very new, very crazy ideas on the second one, which are very different from the first one – but you will get really great spectacle.
Hopefully, it will live up to expectation cause i can't wait and hopefully, Legendary Pictures will accept the script
