Jason Momoa considered to play Aquaman in Batman vs Superman

There has long been rumors about Jason Momoa's involvement in the upcoming Batman vs Superman. The actor popular for his role in the HBO hot series Game of Thrones as Khal Drogo, Deanerys Targaryen's husband. But the latest rumor in the rumor reel is that the actor will be playing Aquaman which might not be what he is called in the movie. Lex Luthor will be spear-heading a Superhero hate campaign in the movie for the destruction of Metropolis by General Zod and his minions with the World Engine. Aquaman will apparently be pissed for the destruction the machine caused on the Indian ocean. 
Jason has previously been rumored to play Martian Manhunter before this latest development. 
HitFix stated that Zack Synder has completed Jason Momoa's part of the movie and that he would begin filming soon. I don't know how true this is, but i sure hope they make a good Aquaman of him.
The Aquaman role regardless of who would be playing it will not be a major role in this movie but it will leave room for future installations of this role. I have always wondered why there has been no underwater movie, now it seems i might be getting my wish. Who else has this same wish?
