Rumor Mill: Sinister Six might be dead or dying

Even though writers Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman are not sure about the future of the Amazing Spider-man franchise, there is still little speculation about the return of the movie in a third installation. Among the rumors circulating the Spider-man Universe is the possibility of the cancellation of the villain spin-off of the movie "Sinister Six". 

Several signs have been pointing towards the possibility of the death of this movie which was originally rumored to begin production in January 2015 but with the recent rant by Badass Digest's Devin Faraci who wrote  “every day that passes I hear more and more scuttlebutt that makes me think ‘Sinister Six’ is dead or dying.” and the tweet by the infamous scooper, El Mayimbe

But let's not get too pessimistic about this. As much as there is a possibility of the movie not making it, there is also a very good chance that the movie will be making it to the big screen and fans of the franchise can only hope for the best for the franchise.
