The CW adds Robbie Amell as Firestorm in The Flash to debut this fall

The CW has another possible hit on the way this fall in the form of The Flash which has been hailed by notable critics as being worth it. The show yesterday added Robbie Amell (Tomorrow People) cousin of Arrow's Stephen Amell as another superhero in the upcoming series.

He has been tapped to star as Firestorm who will be debuting in the Third Episode of the show. The actor has previously worked with the Executive Producer Greg Belanti before and he was hand picked by the show to bring the character of Ronnie Raymond to life.

Belanti said that the writers had always envisioned the character of Ronnie Raymond to appear in the highly anticipated show;

“Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) — and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting. We can’t wait for viewers and fans of the character to check it out.”
