'Arrow' casts Matt Nable as Ra's Al Ghul

For those who do not know who this man is, Matt Nable played the role of Boss Johns in Riddick. This former Australian Rugby player has proved that he has the charisma to play a villain which could be one of the reasons CW casted him for the role despite his short resume. I'm sure his physical attributes have a lot to do with it as well as the character Ra's Al Ghul must be someone who is physically fit and can handle martial arts.

The role, made famous by Liam Neeson in Christopher Nolan's Batman has been one to fear and as it currently seems, Batman fans are in for a treat in Arrow's fifth episode as some of Batman/Ra's Al Ghul's history might be seeping into the episode. it is also said that the show will be introducing the character in that episode.

The leaked character description from CW refers to Ra's Al Ghul has a terrifying man and I can't wait to see what they make of him. Here is a sample of the description:

“An iconic villain from the pages of DC comics. Leader of the League of Assassins. Regal, mysterious, of a bygone era. Proud and unforgiving. Ra’s is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. He carries the wisdom of the ages, and protects some of its greatest secrets.Think the character of Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Someone just terrifying. Not a lunkhead, but a smart and physically imposing man.”

What do you think?
